Eaglets
Banding has taking place in most of the nests and this is done at about 5 to 6 weeks of age. Two bands are placed by the New York State Department of Conservation (NYSDEC) Endangered Species Unit, one for our state of New York and one for the Federal Government. These bands will help identify a bird at an older age, where it was born and when. Please Note below These young eagle prints are not for sale but for viewing and education only. They are photographed by the person banding and are the property of the NYSDEC who allow me to show them here.
